The Municipality of Amsterdam is developing a new island in the IJmeer. Approximately 1,300 residential units and around 27,000 m² of utility buildings will be built on this new island. The ambition of the municipality of Amsterdam is to create an energy-neutral island.
To contribute to this goal an energy concept using large-scale ATES in combination with the use of surface water and local heat pumps has been developed by IF Technology.
IF Technology, as part of the tender team, has contributed with specific knowledge regarding local energy systems in the tender phase to select an Energy Service Company (ESCO).
The energy system has been tendered for a period of 30 years based on a DBFMO contract.
After selection of the ESCO, IF Technology supports the contract management team of the municipality of Amsterdam during the realisation phase.
