District energy solution at Schuttersveld in Ede, the Netherlands

A new industrial estate is being created on the Schuttersveld site in the town of Ede. For this development, the municipality is creating a unique system that uses a central fire-extinguishing facility combined with an ATES system. The system consists of four warm and four cold wells with a total capacity of 800m³/hour. It also includes a facility to provide water for fire extinguishing, with fire hydrants and sprinkler connections for the buildings.

Our contribution included a feasibility study, design, tendering, and permitting procedures.
